Our company is a 100% Hungarian owned family business, initially founded by the father of the current owners (Lajos Bognár) in 1953. His business was mainly engaged in manufacturing of self-designed woodworking machineries to the Western-European market.

Borela Bt, has been established by his sons, Béla Bognár and Rezső Bognár in 1990. At first we were engaged in the renewal of internal combustion engines, casting and finishing of aluminum pistons.

In 1982, we started producing bronze slide bearings with the centrifugal casting process for our internal processes as well as for external orders.

In 1995, our business expanded with industrial plant in Fülöpszállás. We started to produce cardan parts by CNC and automatic lathes.

Our company has been certified according to MSZ EN ISO 9001 since 1996.

In 2001, our company purchased an industrial plant in Jakabszállás for capacity expansion purposes.

2003-2005 we purchased CNC lathes and CNC Vertical Machining Centers, and we have significantly expanded our hall in Jakabszállás.

2005-2006 We have invested in new CNC lathes.

In 2007, we implemented ISO 14001: 2004 Environment Management System. In the same year we qualified for Knorr-Bremse Product Safety Audit.

In 2008, a heat treatment plant was opened at our site in Fülöpszállás, enabling us to apply various methods of heat treatment.

In 2009 our company was honored by the "Supplier of the Year" title by Knorr-Bremse KEC.

In 2010, the owners were granted by the “Entrepreneur of the year” award established by the National Association of Entrepreneurs.

In 2013, the construction of our new production hall in Jakabszállás has been finished successfully.

In 2016, our company qualified for the audit of Knorr-Bremse – according to VDA 6.3. standard.

In 2019 we successfully applied for an engineering service project at Mercedes - Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft.

We endeavor to constantly develop and expand our technical infrastructure – partly with state aid – to apply market leading technology at all times. We also participate in the training of the future generation by providing vocational training opportunities in the frame of vocational training co-operation with technical schools and the Chamber of Commerce.
